GILLI OPEN HOUSE hOp!

Gilli_Senorita_Amor~

Call me old fashion but I think is adorable to celebrate Valentine’s day! I do believe we should bring love to our everyday lives. But it is kind of sweet to have a day solemnly dedicated for that special one : )..Yeah it is time to celebrate the one that drives you mad, but also makes you smile! Oh love..lol. One cannot live without it.
My special valentinecard was created using Gilli Senorita! As you will noticed a little trim gave a whole new look to this romantic girl.  During this whole project I could hear gorgeous guitars solos and castanets  playing along with each drop of glue : ).  Nothing more passionate then a Spanish dancer swirling around her chosen one…the melodies, the strength, the fatal eye look! Pure passion. Oh amor!

Magnolia Stamp :: The baker & the Balloons

maggie_celebration~
Hello people! Gosh, I will spare you from what I am going thru. Just two words “ MURPHY’ LAW”.  Yeap. It is all over me. BUT since I am a person that try to look to the full side of the glass here I am!
The theme at Magnolia Stamp Lovers Challenge is “make a scene”… Boom! The idea just BAM! I am full of sound effects today….aahha. My idea for this card was to prepare a celebration scene where my dear Maggie show her creation! A cute fondant cake! Celebration without balloons is not a celebration. So I free hand some balloons with copics. I wanted to make them float plus a 3D effect so I reached for glossy accents some pop dots and floss! How did you like it? I had this glossy accents forever on my table and never used before….HA! I should not have waited so long. I am loving the stuff! Now if you excuse me I got some cake to take care of!
See yall!
Much luv

Magnolia Stamps :: Tilda in Purple

Candy candy candy? Who wants candy. Click here to try your to win so goooooods!
maggie_plaid_purple~ Hello Tilda lovers!  Are you enjoying the lovely spring weather? Well, people down south of the Equator are enjoying a little cooling. My parents were roasting this past season. Now I am sure they are happy!
Anyway! Today I am sharing with you my lovely Petticoat Tilda and she comes dressed for the season. Sometimes I get bothered with plain color on my stamps and designs, so every now and then I try to create a little pattern. I am not sure how successful I was creating this plaid like top…I kind like the results. I think I will practice a little more : ).
maggie_plaid_purple
I opted to keep my embelishments simple because of the plaid in the background. Sometimes I feel that the card is naked without a little bling. HAHA. So, thanks to my trustworthy die cutter I was able to make my crazy idea come to life. I am not sure if I have a favorite part of this card, but if I had to choose I would pick the butterfly!  How about you? Drop a note! I am so glad I have made so many new friends and learned so much this way!
See ya’ll soon. Much luv

Magnolia Stamp :: Play time

Hello! Isn't funny when you get out of your comfort zone all of sudden you become more efficient? Well this is my story with my new Magnolia card! People I had a blast making my Tilda in the swing!

This baby came to my mind as soon as I saw the first tent card, including the swing (I saw so many beautifully done cards on the net as I looked for tuts). I had just the right image to use for this occasion Sixties Tilda. I also choose to go with a sort of monochromatic coloring vibe. Do you know something? I like it. It is amazing when you use tones on tones, you can still make things come to life! I am a sucker for p&b or sepia tones...actually this probably will be one of my next personal challenges. So much to learn, so little time. How about you? Do you get out of your comfort zone by challenging yourself? While you think..I will play...with my markers! Of course. : )
*** Shhh..I will have a Candy happening soon...so subscribe! I would love you to be here to have a chance to win something gooood!

Magnolia stamp:: Carnaval!!!!!!!

Hellooooo dear friends! Open the streets because the magnolia fans came to party! It is Carnaval at Magnolia stamp lovers! I am honored to be hosting Challenge #4, and to celebrate I choose Carnaval as a theme! So bring the bling, the pearls and the beads because it is time to have fun fun fun!
Carnaval just started down in Rio and Mardi Gras in New Orleans will be sweet (for the lovely people of Louisiana and Saints fans!)...ah and who can forget the happy and colorful streets of Venice!
I had a load of fun making this card. I had all the little elements stuck in my head for a long time! It took  me a little while to put together ( this one will be a record in my book) but i had planned to make some things from scratch and that takes a little planning and time to execute :). The idea here was to bring the vibe of Colombina, the eternal pair of the Pierrot, the ultimate romantic couple of many many carnavals...I hope you like my Colombina and its embellishments...
Now follow me to Magnolia Stamp Lovers to learn the rules of this Challenge and get the party going! You could win a lovely prize, thanks to Cindy from Stampingscrapping.com

Magnolia stamp :: Age of Aquarious

Hi there! One more Maggie card coming here from my igloo! Nah, just kidding. I did have to dig 2 ft + of snow out of my door..for the sake of my pooch and any eventual emergency in the household ; ). Hey, I was a girl scout. Always prepared!
Now I have been working on this new card for a couple days...things came together little by little. I was fully inspired by my birthday. Memorable in so many ways (you will see what I mean soon).
The perfect excuse to make a happy came when I saw that Copic Creations challenge had  feather blending as a challenge theme...I though it was a good time to learn a tech and also use some crazy bright colors....and my dear Maggie stamp was a perfect match for my revised hippie style!
For now, peace out! Keep warm! Come back for more because I am in the groove!

Monkey Business

We all know that in life, family and friends are the things that matter the most. I was lucky to have met my dear friend and “sis” Connie. She is a dear buddy in the embroidery +sewing world = everyday life. Connie and I bumped into each other over Craftster and we have exchanged items and helped organizing a couple swaps (it is so much fun!). We never stopped talking…a true friendship was granted thru craft! Well, like good girly gals we both moved almost at the same date this year…so I promised to make her “We’ve moved!” cards as part of her housewarming gift. Connie call her 8 (yes, eight and she is my hero and super mom) kids monkeys…so choosing a mascot to spread the word was easy!

Thanksgiving...everyday.

I have been following for a little while tons of cute and very instructive papercrafting blogs. I recently decided to grab some nice tools and try my hand on carmaking.
Oy vey, one can get overwhelmed at the craft store. So many goodies are available (I must remind myself to keep the buget!). I will (hopefully on a regular basis : ) ) share with you the results of my learning process. See my first attempt up there?!**
I will be also posting about my impressions of a little slice of the cardmaking world. So much to learn!
For now thanks for stopping by...and I hope to see you around!
Leave a comment so I can visit you!
Hugs
Happy turkey day...yummy!
