Congrats Grad!

ello ladies and Gent! How is everyone doing this middle of week? As usual I am keeping busy over here making projects while regular life happens LOL. I am  also working on some other goodies that hopefully we will be able to share soon. I had an amazing weekend with the visit of my dear friend Suzanne. Gosh did I need to laugh a little…and believe me…She can make you laugh! So I highly recommend you popping into one of Suzanne’s copic classes…( check out her CMC on the road website!! SC NC here she comes!!) you not only will have a super class in coloring but you will have a ball!

Dionne is the hostess of the current House of Gilli challenge. Black plus one color! I held to the challenge rules and I stick to Cs and Es…copic lengo…for Blacks and Browns. Here you can see the little project I prepared for the challenge. Gilli Graduate was colored with copics. I added just a little touch of Stickles on her graduation ring to make it special : ). I wanted to give a more up to date vibe to the graduation card…so I picked this super cute paper from My minds eye and cut a piece that looks like a real certificate. It sooo set the tone for the whole thing!  Well a certificate needs a cute frame to be showcase so I created a frame by layering paper pieces punched with Martha Stewart punches. I used regular cardstock and kraft paper. A real diploma must have a seal, right? I created a “celebrate” seal for the certificate by embossing a little cut out piece of card stock. I also added a thin layer of stickle around of the embossing. For an added  flair I looped a nice piece of ribbon.
To make this card even more special I made a base using a folded piece of acetate. The acetate gives such a cool airy look…almost futuristic…well, graduation is all about tomorrow right?

Gilli Rockability :: Vintage Vibe

owdy everybody! Today I will be sharing with you a project carrying that Vintage Vibe! Here she comes the queen of the the household…Gilli Rockability!
Okay I love to go to flea markets, garage sales, you name it…LOL I have sooo much fun going through all the things…not only because they have some aesthetic appeal but also of its past.  Each piece in my view was important to someone..was designed by somebody…and made a lot of difference somewhere. Each piece has more then one meaning and should be admired : ). I treasure each one of my finds.

I think it is super cute to mix old and new…find a new life in an old object. I try to incorporate pieces here and there in my space as much as I can…(maybe too much lol).
Gilli Rockability comes to bring this vintage vibe…a time of no ipods..PCs…or smart phones! A time where everything seems looked so romantic and the impossible was the goal!
I tried to evoke this time period in my little project…how about that refrigerator ha? LOL. I used copic markers to color Gilli. The papers used for this project are cryogen (super good for coloring with copics), regular cardstock and patterned papers from DCWV and K & Co. Flowers and Ribbons from personal collection. The little lacy border is a piece punched using Martha Stewart punch. All pieces were distressed using Distress inks. A true rockability would never dare be without earrings LOL so I used tiny little rhinestones for this effect. The wall clock was made using a clear button, regular cardstock and copic multiliners (as you can see I have before and after pictures of it…since I decide to pull a nice metallic feel to it.). To finalize a cutsey bow with a flower and a pearl! Ahh the old times…so nostalgic..so romantic…: )

Gilli Lollipop :: Sweet Celebration!

ello people! We are helping the celebrations over Color me Creative  Classroom! Have you popped by? NO..Oh you don’t have any idea what you are missing out!

For this celebration I prepared a sweet little card! Gilli Lollipop is having the time of of her life among all the sweet friends she has been making!!
For this project I used Gilli Lollipop colored with copics.  The added details I did using copic multilines…love love these pens…as much as I love my regular copics. The papers are My mind eyes and Martha Stewart and Cardstock from stash. My die cuts are from my own design (ballons) and Silhouette library. Dontcha love that cake!? The little sentiment was done by hand on a SU die cut. I added a touch of color around the card using distress inks. All the sparkly…Stikles..and inspired by my lovely friend Suzanne I made Gilli shoes a little glossy…nothing like a patent leather LOL. For thr effect Glossy accents was used all around (ballons and Lollipop).

Gilli Jeans :: Baby on Board!! & News!

ello Hello! I have great news to share!
Starting this week I will be participating as a Design Team over Color me Creative Challenge Group by my dear friend Suzanne J. Dean. I am sure I will have a great time! SUCH A JOY to be giving a little hand to my buddy and also having fun with great people that have one passion in common…COPIC markers.




My CMC teammates are so nice and wait and see the beautiful projects they will be showing over there! The CMC challenge group is open to anyone so come on over and  join us for the current challenge that started on March 4 and will run until March 18! There is always a great prize for the winner!


Take a look at my very first project over CMC challenge Group! Gilli Jeans sporting a baby bump! The whole idea about this card was so funny! I think this idea was one of the fastest I ever had to make a card! As soon as I saw the challenge  inspiration picture the whole thing popped into my mind LOL…TG..because I was sharing with my friends Stephanie and Wini (DTs from House of Gilli Challenge and also SSCC) that I had to cut a little on how long I make my cards LOL….I literally had an Eureka moment! LOL (Let me enjoy they don’t come often LOL)…Why not make  Gilli Jeans wearing a nice maternity outfit! This card is a great example what I have been sharing with you…Gilli can be whatever you want..just grab you copics a little embellishment and your idea will come true! Any occasion!

I challenged my self while coloring this image. I wanted to create a lot of contrast at the hair part. I tried to achieve my goal by enhancing the highlights and also making sure the folded parts of the hair were plenty darker so I could give an illusion of the wavy look that her hair style calls for. Well not bad..don’t you think? Well, I kind liked the results…I don’t care much for perfect..why would I…since the whole process is already a load of fun!?! LOL….Hey what are you waiting for? Just you and me

Howdy! I am finally putting order in the house and settling down. Pulling out my markers and coloring : ). It feels good to have a safe place where you can forget your daily disturbances and let you imagination goes : ). Everyone deserves this safe place lol...So next time you shop for your craft supply and you hear " you have it all"...you can say...I am investing in my sanity!
Today I had to find my happy place...and I did! I hope you will like what came out of it! LOL...
My little project was created as a wish of full love..everywhere. Where does it start? Just with your and me! I used Magnolia stamps colored using using copic markers...all soft pastel colors (theme of this delightful challenge at MSL). To add a little sparkle...what else but stikles (cannot wait to get my new ones)? LOL. The heart background was created using Sizzix textured plate...I run this baby on my grand caliber and whoa...nice results! The sentiment is Gilli Stamp you and me, inked using SU ink pad on a Dhalia nestabiltie cut. The doodling was made with copic multiliner. I wanted to add more dimension and flair to where my sentiment was so I add a little flower from StampingScrapping line...and da-da...the pop up came to life :). The edging and stenciling was made using distress ink and distress ink tool from Ranger. All things consider this project was super quick to finish...(catchin' save some therapy money lol)..so why don't you try? GILLI OPEN HOUSE hOp!

Call me old fashion but I think is adorable to celebrate Valentine’s day! I do believe we should bring love to our everyday lives. But it is kind of sweet to have a day solemnly dedicated for that special one : )..Yeah it is time to celebrate the one that drives you mad, but also makes you smile! Oh love..lol. One cannot live without it.
My special valentinecard was created using Gilli Senorita! As you will noticed a little trim gave a whole new look to this romantic girl.  During this whole project I could hear gorgeous guitars solos and castanets  playing along with each drop of glue : ).  Nothing more passionate then a Spanish dancer swirling around her chosen one…the melodies, the strength, the fatal eye look! Pure passion. Oh amor!

Sweet love

Hello guys and girls! It is that time of the year…to send a sweet  for your lovely friend…
Here is a super simple card that can be made with very little. I created this Valentine card using Bildmalarna stamp colored with copic markers, and added details using white pen. The card itself  is made out of scrap paper I had already cut…I trimmed the papers to get a better fit for the layered effect. To create the lacy border I used 2 Martha punches…the little extra detail…the floating hearts was created using Gilli Stamp (Accessory) Heart and white opaque Staz on ink. I a little touch of gray was added on the inside of the image to add a little dimension.
Good friends deserve a nice big sentiment…so I cut this big heart  and stamped the sentiment “You’ve got a friend” from Gilli Stamps. The matching ink is SU. I also flickered a little copic marker at the edges of the paper flower to add a little touch…
So easyyy…You would be done in no time….and  you will make that special someone really happy! you never know when someone needs a little something to make them smile…:) and know they are loved : )

Gilli Fairy :: Halloween Tricks!

Hello everyone!!! Hey who left the outside ac on? Gezz the weather just turned upside down!! LOL Well cool is coming and you know what that means…yeah baby! Halloween is around the corner! So I decided to start early this year and get ready for that special trick or treat moment!

So I would love to share with you my newest Gilli project…a trick or treat goodie bag! I used Gilli Fairy for this project and thanks to some Copic magic and some other cool ingredients she became a cute little witch..LOL.
