Take a look at my very first project over CMC challenge Group! Gilli Jeans sporting a baby bump! The whole idea about this card was so funny! I think this idea was one of the fastest I ever had to make a card! As soon as I saw the challenge  inspiration picture the whole thing popped into my mind LOL…TG..because I was sharing with my friends Stephanie and Wini (DTs from House of Gilli Challenge and also SSCC) that I had to cut a little on how long I make my cards LOL….I literally had an Eureka moment! LOL (Let me enjoy they don’t come often LOL)…Why not make  Gilli Jeans wearing a nice maternity outfit! This card is a great example what I have been sharing with you…Gilli can be whatever you want..just grab you copics a little embellishment and your idea will come true! Any occasion!

I challenged my self while coloring this image. I wanted to create a lot of contrast at the hair part. I tried to achieve my goal by enhancing the highlights and also making sure the folded parts of the hair were plenty darker so I could give an illusion of the wavy look that her hair style calls for. Well not bad..don’t you think? Well, I kind liked the results…I don’t care much for perfect..why would I…since the whole process is already a load of fun!?! LOL….Hey what are you waiting for? Take a peak at the inspiration pic, grab you stamps and your copics and hop over CMC challenge group! We will be waiting for your project! See Ya!

Magnolia stamp :: All dressed up for the occasion!

Oi (hello in Portuguese!) everyone!
Well, my Maggie collection is fairly small...so I try my best to dress them up!
Remember the days the ladies wore white gloves? My inspiration came from that time. So for this card I spruce up my Maggie! I am thinking to send this card as a Birthday card..I got a friend that she loved dress up!
Check it out the hat veil! I am in a quest to use different ways of coloring...and this time I tried to keep my colors fairly muted. I just really loved the possibilities that all those yummy Copic colors offered (it is pricey, but oh worth it!).
 I would  love to hear what you guys think! How do you like the make over?
Thanks for dropping by!
See ya!

PS: Oh...keep in touch to find out what in that candy basket! It is good...maybe I should keep it.. Nah... You guys deserved!

Magnolia Stamp :: Play time

Hello! Isn't funny when you get out of your comfort zone all of sudden you become more efficient? Well this is my story with my new Magnolia card! People I had a blast making my Tilda in the swing!

This baby came to my mind as soon as I saw the first tent card, including the swing (I saw so many beautifully done cards on the net as I looked for tuts). I had just the right image to use for this occasion Sixties Tilda. I also choose to go with a sort of monochromatic coloring vibe. Do you know something? I like it. It is amazing when you use tones on tones, you can still make things come to life! I am a sucker for p&b or sepia tones...actually this probably will be one of my next personal challenges. So much to learn, so little time. How about you? Do you get out of your comfort zone by challenging yourself? While you think..I will play...with my markers! Of course. : )
*** Shhh..I will have a Candy happening soon...so subscribe! I would love you to be here to have a chance to win something gooood!

Pen & Ink

Today is National Handwriting day. The day was created to remind us of the purity of holding this very simple tool and scribble a few thoughts on paper (or a napkin : ) ). Why today you ask? Today is also John Hancock's birthday. Who cannot picture this very honorable's men signature in one of the most famous documents in History? The very first one to sign the Constitution of the United States. Obviously so many other's joined Mr. Hancock in that day. Benjamin Franklin, Caesar Rodney, John Adams, and so many other brilliant minds. Every time I see an old letter, document, I dream of achieving that kind of penmanship. For now I will leave you with my tribute to Handwriting Day. Grab your Pen & Ink, write a note...or maybe a romantic though that you will be able to send out pretty soon...ahhh love letters....

So what are you waiting for?

Challenges : Cinema Saturday; Ildi Co's; A spoon full of sugar
