Miss You and Heads Up for a ♥ cause
ello everyone! I missed you all! Yeap true…I love to be in touch with my fellow crafters as much as I can. I enjoy sharing and listening about the life updates..birthdays..graduations..all the trimmings. But you know who needs helps doing that? Our wonderful soldiers! Yes. Our Boys and Gals that are deployed all over the world. Sometimes these men and woman are in places that is very hard or far away from anywhere they can pick up a sweet card and send a quick little note home. Luckily our Armed forces have OPERATION WRITE HOME (OWH). OWH is a non profit organization that send special boxes filled with cards to soldiers all over the world. How can you help OWH keep the good deed going? Making cards!!! Yes! OWH angels receive tons of hand made cards from crafters all over the world then check and organize cards to be sent out to our soldiers.
Now we would love for you to join us to help OWH. We though would be an amazing fun to do a blog hop to inspire you! Design Teams from Paper Temptress, Oozak and Color me Creative Class will join together in one amazing Card drive HOP. The fun just gets better! You can join in by making a project (following OWH – size and safety guidelines), entering a picture of the project on the hop inlinkz (One project linked per person please) then mailing the project to us. We will loooove if you could send as many as you can by November, 7th (we will screen and send all to OWH) . You could win super prizes from amazing super generous sponsors!!! YES!! You do a good deed and you also can win a sweet gift!!!
Just as a initial idea I created the little card above following OWH guidelines. Amazing quality paper and NO glitter. Everything is super duper glued so it will resist battlefront conditions.
Stay tuned our OWH Hop Card drive will happen on OCTOBER 2nd!
THANK YOU to our sponsors!!!

Congrats Grads
ey you! I am sure you are enjoying the break. Kids out of school and proud parents are celebrating the culmination of years of their babies work..well theirs too! As a friend said…I am also graduating : ) after all this year of tutoring. . Well more to come. A chapter is completed and many many more beautiful chapter are to come in the lives of these kids! Congrats Grads!
My project today is all about graduation. I created this card as a gift for a very dear girly…she just finished HS and will be off to college soon. Guess what her favorite color is? HA my fear factor color…PURPLE. LOL. Yes I have not yet passed of my purple fear. I still do not get why. I like this color on others and things…but never pick an item in purple for me hehe. I guess my friends, and I seriously say that 4 out of 5 LOVES purple, will get anything I thing is cute in purple.
I used Gilli Graduate for this project. One little adaptation I extended her little original hair to match my friend’s hair (gorgeous and smart…oy that is dangerous lol).
All the papers are from Paper Temptress. People, you must get by Patricia’s store. Some specialty papers that you will NOT find in your mega craft store. And they give that extra bam you need in your cards/projects. Just check that distress..and the columns of the paper. This paper also picked the inks very nicely allowing me to create a super personalized background. I am not going to even mention that the weight of these Pop tones papers are perfect for creating layers (and match the inks out there folks!!).
For coloring I used my faithful copics and my multiliners. I have been coloring less then I would like to …but OH I love my markers LOL. I know you understand me..’cause most people..don’t.
I guess I will need a few more occasions to get my card making kick up to speed!
I am so glad you stopped by..Leave a hello if you feel like it…I say I have been missing my craft buddies : ).
More project to come..sooner then you think .
Love to you all!
