Magnolia Stamp :: Unfinished business

Howdy Folks! Today I am sharing with you something that I enjoy doing sometimes. Studying. Well, what that means is practicing, trying colors, really having fun. No pressure or worries about looking for embellishments, matching papers or patterns, fooling with die cuts....NO. When I am in this mood..it is just me, markers and scrap papers...and lots of paper towel. Why paper towel? I get my fingers stained haha. So I keep a hand sanitizer (alcohol based) handy. Right now my nails got a little extra E35 on them that should not be there...hahahah.
When I came across from this lovely image...my brain was flashing...primitive americana...refurbished old jeans, quilt dress, basic colors...grays and some browns...I am not sure what I think about this colored image, still a little too bright. I think I have way to go to achive the ultimate primitive look...I will keep studying...for now I am considering this an unfinished business. What do you think?!
Much much luv.

Anary

Hey girls! You guys are so delightful! Thank you!
Vivi I just got my blender tip dirty with some light blue...blot it on some paper and the left over and doodle around...I just was careful to start from the edges. Voila! Some sort of sky! HEHEH. XOXO Anary

I think that she is pretty just the way that she is, but if you are looking for something a little more vintage, in my last beginning copic class that I took, the instructor said that she used a W3 over the color to give it a vintage look. Just an idea.

Really like the colors you used, plus I like the way you blended her shoes and sunflower from dark to light and her clothing. That is one thing I don't have the nack of right now, but you seem to have gotten it.
