Sweet Birthday…imperfectly delicious!

 

I have been having an amazing birthday week. Aside from trying to catch up with my eternal to do list…which I decide to make peace with…lol….this week brought amazing surprises…what a reward….

Lots of surprises from loved ones…what a reward when someone comes with a thoughtful gift….it is true when I tell each one of my friends….I don’t need anything….they are my best gift….each one is a blessing. But I am only human….lol….I just could not contain myself each time a box, a bouquet, a postal box…a text message…a phone call…a facebook shout out…happened….I just melted away….what blessed person I am….I am healthy and I have friends…true ones….I giggled, I smiled, I cried…I am happy…and  I am at peace…what else I would love as birthday gift?

I just wish the world was imperfectly sweet like this butter cream cake I made and would like to share with you all….oh yeah I had to add turquoise flowers….Hey it is my birthday so my flowers will be turquoise LOL…a new passion…cake decor!!!

What fun I had making this cake…it is my very first butter cream cake…my very first icing flowers….yeah we can have so many “firsts” in life….just look around and go for it!!!!!!!!! It is never too later to start a new passion.  I had one revelation….it is sooooooo good to make things imperfectly sweet!  Living each day….with puzzles and troubles….just like when you are decorating a butter cream cake. It is messy…slippery….wonky…but life my friends can be sweet and pretty just as a butter cream cake! And if you would like to be my true friend….you will take me like so…with all my sweet imperfections LOLOL….and I will forever be thankful to you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All I can promise in return is loyalty and a boat load of fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Valentines!

Hello everyone! Boy oh boy this weather is a thrill…it is cold baby! I am slowly coming back for my regular activities….and here I come!!!

Today I bring you a sweet magnolia card for valentine’s day! Super simple…I colored Maggie_ Kitchen with Copic markers and I used some regular cardstock from my stash to make the card bases….Now the cool thing is that I created the LOVE background with Gilli Sentiment stamp Love 1 and Love 2! I go mad with these sentiments….as you can use as it is or stamp in group to create a nice patterned paper!!! Over here I have another sample how to use this stamp… My little love tag is made with our lovely die (StampingScrapping & anaRyDesign die cut) cut…Anglaise…Don’t forget they are on pre order and will be shipping sooner then you think! The heart stamped in the die cut is a Gilli Stamp accessory…Heart : )…and the I love you…stamp from SS design stamp set Frou Frou ( this set has a ton of cute things that match beautifully on the Frou frou tags die cut!!!).
